Why it works: Single-item lines create pause and weight. Each item lands separately. The reader slows down. This is deliberate — strata documents are overwhelming, and the rhythm mirrors that feeling before Cohabit resolves it.

No legal jargon.
No digging through hundreds of pages.

Why it works: Defining what you remove is more powerful than listing features. This pattern appears across our product copy. Use it to resolve pain, not to brag.

Empathy before pitch

"If you've ever received a special levy notice and felt your stomach drop, you're not alone. For many apartment owners, a special levy feels like a punishment. Something went wrong, someone didn't do their job, and now you're paying for it.

Sometimes that's true. But not always. More often, a special levy is simply a building's needs catching up with reality."

Why it works: We acknowledge the feeling first, before explaining. We also avoid oversimplifying — "sometimes that's true, but not always" is honest, not defensive. Cohabit respects the reader's intelligence.

The Cohabit type system uses two Google Fonts — one for all primary communication, one for data and technical detail. Both are available free via Google Fonts for universal access.

Photography

Photography brings the human element into the Cohabit brand. While 3D illustrations and data visualisations express intelligence and precision, photography adds warmth, relatability and everyday context — ensuring the brand never feels cold or overly technical.

Lifestyle photography

Natural, warm imagery reflecting human connection and real environments. Focuses on everyday moments — family, conversation, lived spaces. Colour direction leans toward soft neutrals with orange and blue accents for cohesion.

Product photography

Hands holding phones, using tablets or desktops within natural settings. Demonstrates real interaction with the Cohabit platform. Retains the same orange and blue brand balance as lifestyle photography for visual continuity.

Source libraries: Death to Stock and Pexels. When selecting new images, ensure they align with the lifestyle direction — warm, natural, everyday Australian living. Avoid overly posed, corporate, or generic stock aesthetics.
